An international music event in Assisi, world famous as the mystic town of St. Francis. The Assisi Music Festival is dedicated to the memory of Orazio Frugoni, one of the most famous classical music teachers and pianists, who died in Italy in 1997.

Assisi, visited by pilgrims and tourists the world over, will become the center of prestigious performances and masterclasses with the participation of top level international artists. The importance and uniqueness of the Assisi International Piano Festival& Orazio Frugoni Music Institute will influence the cultural life in Assisi, making this wonderful medieval town the meeting point of some of the most outstanding musicians of our times. This is an important initiative for an area full of mystic atmosphere and historical tradition.

As St. Francis put Assisi on the world map, the Assisi Music Festival will put Assisi on the world's musical map and will be the magnet that attracts the "high society" of international culture. It promises to provide a reference point for both Italian and international musical activity cutting across various historical and musical periods.

The Assisi International Piano Festival & Orazio Frugoni Music Institute will occur in the summer at the best historical sites in Assisi encompassing the town's spectacular squares and medieval churches. This nine day musical happening in a spectacular and historic setting will provide a unique and romantic setting where young musicians, prestigious artists and a worldwide audience, will experience a series of musical events in dramatic venues that they will never forget.
